Instructions
1- Initial Beef Cooking:
- In a large aluminum pot, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the pre-seasoned beef pieces, browning them evenly.
- Insert 1 slice of red bell pepper with cloves into the pot.
- Crumble 1 Maggi cube over the beef.
2- Simmer Ingredients:
- Pour in water to cover the beef, cover the pot, and boil for 30 minutes until the beef is half-cooked.
3- Sauce Preparation:
- Carefully strain the liquid from the pot, leaving the beef inside.
- Fry the beef pieces until they turn an orangey color.
- Add 3 tablespoons tomato paste to the pot, stirring until well-coated. Gradually add a little water to blend.
4- Combining Sauce and Beef:
- Return the reserved sauce to the pot with the beef and tomato paste mixture.
- Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
5- Add Vegetables and Simmer:
- If needed, transfer the beef and sauce to a larger pot.
- Add hardy root vegetables: sliced plantain, cubed yam, malanga, and potatoes.
- Follow with leafy greens: spinach and watercress.
- Finally, top with sliced fresh tomatoes, red and green bell peppers, carrot, and chopped green onions.
- Pour in 1 can of Let Kokoye coconut milk.
- Add 2 more Maggi cubes and salt as required for seasoning.

- In a glass mixing bowl, mix 1 cup flour with a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add salted water, kneading into a consistent dough. Shape the dough into long dumplings.

- After 20 minutes of simmering vegetables, stir in 1 tablespoon butter.
- Add dumplings to the simmering bouillon.
- Once root vegetables are fully tender, remove them temporarily from the pot using a ladle.
- Simmer until the bouillon thickens to desired consistency, then return the soft vegetables.
