Salsa Criolla is a quintessential Argentine condiment that bursts with color and freshness. š Juice of 1/2 Lemon
š» 100cc Sunflower Oil (generic yellow-capped bottle)
š¶ 3 tablespoons Alcohol Vinegar (generic)
š§ Salt (Celusal)
š§ Black Pepper (Al Wok)
Instructions
1- Prepare Bell Peppers:
- Take 1/2 red bell pepper and 1/2 green bell pepper.
- Cut them in half, remove the seeds and white pith.
- Slice into thin strips and finely dice into small cubes (brunoise).
- Place in a stainless steel mixing bowl.
2- Prepare Tomato:
- Halve the pear tomato.
- Slice into thin strips and dice into small cubes, leaving skin and seeds intact.
- Add to the mixing bowl.
3- Prepare Onion:
- Halve the onion, peel off the outer skin.
- Finely dice into small cubes (brunoise).
- Add to the mixing bowl.
4- Add Liquids:
- Squeeze the juice from 1/2 lemon into the bowl.
- Pour in 100cc of sunflower oil and 3 tablespoons of alcohol vinegar.
5- Season:
- Season with salt and black pepper.
6- Mix:
- Stir all ingredients thoroughly with a spoon until well combined.
- Adjust seasoning as desired.
7- Store:
- For preservation, transfer salsa into a clean glass jar.
- Add a layer of sunflower oil on top, sealing the vegetables.
- Close jar tightly and refrigerate for extended freshness.
