Instructions
1- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cut the brisket into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Peel and chop 2 onions into small cubes; reserve one for grating with the potatoes.
2- Cook the Brisket and Onions:
- Heat vegetable oil in a gray, non-stick coated frying pan.
- Fry the brisket until it turns golden brown.
- Add the chopped onions to the pan with the brisket. Season with salt and pepper. Continue frying until the onions are softened and translucent. Set aside.
3- Grate the Potatoes and Onion:
- Grate the peeled potatoes along with one of the onions using a stainless steel box grater into a large stainless steel mixing bowl.
4- Mix the Batter:
- In the mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Stir in the fried brisket and onion mixture to ensure even distribution.
5- Prepare the Baking Dish:
- Grease a round, clear glass baking dish with vegetable oil using an orange and black silicone pastry brush.
6- Bake the Babka:
- Preheat your standard kitchen oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF).
