š 2-3 cups Pumpkin, diced, frozen
š 2 medium Yams, peeled and chopped
š 1 large Sweet Potato, peeled and chopped
š 2 medium Green Bananas/Plantains, peeled and chopped
š„ 2 medium Carrots, peeled and chopped

1 medium Onion, chopped
š§ 3 cloves Garlic, minced
š¾ 1.5 - 2 cups Flour, for dumplings
š½ 0.5 cup Cornmeal, for dumplings
š§ Water, for cooking and dumplings
š§ Salt, generic shaker
š¬ Brown Sugar, generic jar
š¶ļø Red Pepper/Paprika Powder, generic jar
šæ Green Seasoning, a few tablespoons from Mauby bottle
š 2 Bay Leaves
šæ 3-4 Cloves
š 1 cup Salted Fish pieces, frozen
š„„ 1 cup Coconut Milk, from red mug
Instructions
1- Prepare Pig Tails:
- Wash the pig tails thoroughly.
- Place in a Genie brand pressure cooker with enough water to cover and cook until tender.
2- Prepare Vegetables:
- Peel and chop the yam, sweet potato, green bananas, carrots, and taro/dasheen into medium-sized pieces and keep them in water to prevent discoloration.
- Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
3- Prepare Dumplings:
- In a large clear glass mixing bowl, combine flour and cornmeal.
- Gradually add water, mixing until a firm dough forms. Knead lightly and set aside.
4- Cook Pumpkin:
- In a large stainless-steel pot with a glass lid, add the diced pumpkin with water and boil until very soft.
- Mash the pumpkin in the pot to create a thick soup base.
5- Combine Ingredients (Part 1):
- Add cooked pig tails, chopped onion, minced garlic, bay leaves, and cloves to the mashed pumpkin. Stir well.
6- Add Liquids & Provisions:
- Pour in coconut milk and add chopped potatoes, carrots, green bananas, yam, sweet potato, and salted fish to the pot.
7- Add Dumplings:
- Form small dumplings from the dough and gently drop into the simmering soup.
8- Season and Simmer:
- Season the soup with salt, brown sugar, red pepper/paprika powder, and green seasoning and stir thoroughly.
9- Finish Cooking:
- Cover the pot and allow to simmer until all vegetables are tender, dumplings are cooked through, and the soup is thickened to the desired consistency.
