š„ 2 teaspoons baking powder, Clabber Girl
š§ ¼ cup shortening, Crisco
š° 1 ½ cups water

- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.

- Cover the dough with a damp kitchen towel.
- Let it rest for 15 minutes to allow the gluten to relax for easier rolling.
6- Divide and Shape:

7- Roll out the Tortillas:
- Use a rolling pin to roll out each dough ball on a lightly floured surface until thin and about 8 inches in diameter.
- Keep the tortillas covered between sheets of parchment paper to prevent drying out.
