Ingredients
🍹 2 oz Tequila
🍍 1 cup Fresh Pineapple, diced
🧊 1/2 cup Ice cubes
🥤 1 cups Tepache (recipe below)
🌶️ Tajín seasoning, to rim the glass
🍍 Pineapple slice, for garnish
Instructions
1- Prepare the Glass:
- Begin by preparing your cocktail glass. Wet the rim of your glass with a lime wedge or by dipping it into a bit of tequila. Spread Tajín seasoning on a small plate and dip the rim of the glass into the seasoning until it's coated. Set the glass aside.
2- Fill the Shaker:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. If you are making a frozen version, skip this step, and ensure your pineapple is frozen before blending.
3- Add Pineapple:
- Add the fresh diced pineapple to the shaker. If you prefer a smoother texture or are making a frozen version, blend the pineapple separately until pureed, then pour it into the shaker.
4- Add Tequila:
- Pour 2 oz of tequila into the shaker.
5- Shake Well:
- Secure the lid on your shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds, allowing the flavors to meld and the mixture to chill thoroughly.
6- Strain and Serve:
- Strain your Tepache Margarita into the prepared glass. If you’ve made a frozen version, simply pour the blended mixture directly into the glass.
