Ingredients
For Cooking the Shrimp and Broth:

3 tomatoes romano type
š„ 1 carrot
š„¬ 1 celery stalk

1/2 red onion
š§ 2 garlic cloves
š§ 1/2 teaspoon shrimp bouillon Knorr recommended
š§ 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
šæ Pinch of oregano
š§ Salt to taste
š§ 2 liters water
For Assembling the Cocktail:
š¤ Cooked shrimp from above
š² Shrimp broth from above
š„ Cucumber diced to fill a small bowl

Tomatoes diced to fill a small bowl
š 4-5 limes
šæ Cilantro chopped to fill a small bowl
š§
Red onion diced to fill a small bowl
šø Dash of Clamato brand seafood cocktail
š§ Black pepper freshly ground to taste
š§ Salt to taste
Serving Additions (Optional):
š¶ļø Hot sauce Guacamaya, Valentina yellow label, Valentina black label
š Saladitas crackers

Instructions
1- Prepare the Shrimp:
- With a toothpick, gently devein the shrimp without peeling them.
2- Prepare Vegetables for Broth:
- Chop the tomatoes, carrot, celery, and half of the red onion.
3- Make the Broth Base:
- In a pot, warm 2 liters of water.
- Add the chopped half red onion, garlic cloves, tomatoes, carrot, celery, black peppercorns, oregano, shrimp bouillon, and salt.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
4- Blend Broth Ingredients:
- Remove tomatoes, onion, and garlic.
- Blend with 1 cup of hot broth until smooth.
5- Combine and Boil:
- Pour the blended mixture back into the pot.
- Bring to a rolling boil.
6- Cook the Shrimp:
- Add shrimp to boiling broth.
- Cook for 5 minutes, skimming off foam.
7- Cool and Chill:
- Strain shrimp and vegetables, reserving broth.
- Cool and refrigerate.
8- Peel Cooked Shrimp:
- Once chilled, peel shrimp.
9- Prepare Fresh Garnishes:
- Dice cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and chop cilantro.
10- Assemble the Cocktail:
- In a goblet, layer diced cucumber, tomatoes, onion, and cooked shrimp.
- Add shrimp broth and a dash of Clamato.
- Garnish with cilantro, pepper, salt, and lime juice.
11- Serve:
- Stir and enjoy immediately, with optional hot sauce and crackers or tostadas.
