Ingredients
🍤 200g medium-sized shrimp, cleaned, deveined, and butterflied

🌶️ 1 whole chile serrano, stem removed
🥒 1 small cucumber, peeled and sliced into half-moons
🧅 ½ red onion, thinly sliced into half-moons
🍋 Juice of approximately 7.5 large limes; juice of 4.5 limes for marinating, juice of 3 limes for the sauce
🍅 ½ cup tomato juice
🥢 Soy sauce, a few drops for seasoning the shrimp and a generous amount for the sauce
🧂 Pinch of salt
🌶️ Pinch of black pepper
🥄 A pinch of chicken bouillon powder
Instructions
1- Prepare Shrimp:
- Clean, devein, and butterfly 200g of shrimp.
- Arrange them in a glass baking dish.
2- Season Shrimp:
- Add a pinch of salt, a dash of black pepper, and a few drops of soy sauce to the shrimp.
- Mix gently.
3- Add Onions:
- Layer the sliced red onion over the shrimp.
4- Marinate Shrimp:
- Squeeze the juice of about 4.5 limes over the shrimp and onions, ensuring they're fully submerged.
- Set aside to marinate until the shrimp turns an opaque pinkish color.
5- Prepare Sauce:
- In a blender cup, combine 1 chile serrano, 9 chiles de bola, ½ cup of tomato juice, a pinch of salt, a pinch of chicken bouillon powder, some black pepper, and a generous pour of soy sauce.
- Blend until smooth.
6- Adjust Sauce Flavor:
- Add the juice of 3 limes to the sauce, stir well, and adjust the seasoning as needed.
7- Prepare Cucumber:
- Slice the small cucumber into thin half-moons.
- You may keep the seeds intact for added texture.
